Imagine God saying to you, I have made promises to My people in My Word and I want you to be the one who brings My promises to fulfilment. (Read Ezekiel 34: 11-16).
Scary?
Exciting?
Well it’s true! God has chosen His church (you and me) to look for the lost, bind up the broken and shepherd (care for) the flock.
Look around you (in the office, traffic…)….
Think a bit….(about family,… friends,..someone you know..)…
Write their name/names down in your Bible, devotional book…
Pray for them each day….ask for an opening to talk to them personally about Jesus, to pray with them for healing or to care for them in some way.

One of the things that struck me on the Contagious Christianity course is that there may be many steps on a person's journey back to the flock. I spoke with someone at the tennis club last week. She recognised me from when the church used to be at the nursery school. We spoke about why she stopped coming to church. Nothing major. But I am content to know that I was putting another stepping stone on her path. (Instead of angst - she's got to be at church next week or I failed!)
Yep, the other day a person who helped me to Christ phoned and for the first ever I thanked him. Needless to say, the call ended in tears on both sides. I hope more of the people that crossed my path will be testifying to how they helped me to know Jesus.
Talk about the road to Christain maturity - lead someone to Jesus and see how your faith grows.
